Endorsements

“It’s a masterpiece of visionary polemics, focused on the pivotal issue of our epoch: Israel as the embattled source and numinous savior of our civilization.”

George Gilder, author of The Israel Test

“I cannot underscore how important this book is, and at this cultural moment. Soaring levels of antisemitism are just the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface is a battle for civilization itself. Will we cherish Judaism’s gifts to the world—including the very republic for which we stand—or will we drown in the coming tide of hatred and violence against God’s people? Darrow Miller, a Christ-following statesman who has dedicated his life to feeding hungry people and discipling them, gives you the facts you need to know. It’s prophetic without being alarmist, and fast-paced without being flippant. It’s time to get informed. And get busy.”

Jeff Myers, PhD, President, Summit Ministries

“Western civilization, as I argue in my own book, began at Mount Sinai. Darrow Miller’s The Jews Cannot Be Erased is the Christian complement to that argument — a comprehensive account of what the Jewish people gave the world, why the world has always responded with hatred, and what the church must do about it. The grand alliance of Jews who stand firm and Christians who recognize the civilizational foundations they have built on is the only thing that can save the West, and this book is the manual for the Christian side of that alliance.”

Josh Hammer, Senior Editor-at-Large, Newsweek; author of Israel and Civilization

“As I read through this manuscript, I kept thinking about the meaning of a ‘mystery.’ This book touches on things that should be obvious, but to many, they are not even seen. God has a plan. We don’t know everything about it. To us it is a mystery. He lets us understand different parts of His plan, when it is strategically correct to do so. This dynamic of the one new man is being made manifest more than ever in our generation. It seems impossible, irreconcilable, yet it is happening. As it happens, we believe that God’s glorious plan will be manifest as well in a magnificent way. May this book help you to delve deeper into this mystery! We need clarity about God’s plan for Israel and the Church in these … times, now more than ever.”

Messianic Jewish leader Asher Intrater, Ahavat Yeshua Congregation, Jerusalem; Revive Israel / Tikkun Global Ministries

Pull quotes from the book

Lines from Darrow Miller’s manuscript. These are not third-party endorsements.

“This book is not primarily a book about antisemitism. It is a book about the ideas that antisemitism attacks.”

Chapter 1

“The explosion of antisemitism in our time is the clearest civilizational warning signal the West has received in decades. The canary is dying. And the gas in the mine will not stop with the Jews.”

Introduction

“The hatred of the Jews is, at its deepest root, the hatred of God.”

Chapter 1

“You cannot hate the root and love the fruit.”

Chapter 6 — Darrow: “perhaps the most important sentence in this entire book.”

On Germany 1933: the Sacred-Secular Divide “was the most catastrophic application of the Sacred-Secular Divide in the history of Christianity.”

Chapter 15

“Understanding without action is simply a more educated form of complicity.”

Chapter 17

“We know. And because we know, our silence—if we are silent—is not ignorance. It is choice. This is the hour.”

Chapter 17

“The same silence, produced by the same formation, in a different century.”

Jewish-safe quotations

For Jewish, federation, interfaith, and secular Jewish placements, lead with these. They are sources Darrow cites — not blurbs for the book. Keep Messiah, gospel-to-the-Jew, and conversion language out of this lane.

“When antisemitism moves from the shameful fringe into the public square, it is not about Jews. It is never about Jews. It is about everyone else. … It is an early warning system—a sign that society itself is breaking down. That it is dying.”

Bari Weiss · Federalist Society, 10 November 2023 · cited in Chapter 1

“We owe to the Jews a system of ethics which, even if it were entirely separated from the supernatural, would be incomparably the most precious possession of mankind… On that system and by that faith there has been built out of the wreck of the Roman Empire the whole of our existing civilization.”

Winston Churchill, 1920 · cited in Chapter 6

“We can hardly get up in the morning or cross the street without being Jewish. We dream Jewish dreams and hope Jewish hopes.”

Thomas Cahill · cited in Chapters 4 and 6

“The world loves dead Jews… The world weeps over dead Jews and yet cheers when living ones are attacked.”

Dara Horn’s frame, in Darrow’s gloss · Chapter 9

“You cannot hate the root and love the fruit.”

Darrow Miller · Chapter 6

Also usable in this lane: the anti-evangelism sentence in chapter 17 — Jewish friendships “not for the purpose of evangelism—that instrumentalizes the relationship and undermines trust—but for the purpose of genuine human connection.”
