The Jews Cannot Be Erased
What Rising Antisemitism Reveals About a Culture and a Church in Peril

1. October 7 — and the pew
On October 7, 2023, the world witnessed the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust — and then watched much of the world celebrate it. Crowds chanted. University presidents could not say genocide-calls were wrong. And in solid, Bible-believing churches, young evangelicals sounded “very much like young antisemites.” That conversation would not let Darrow Miller sleep. It is why this book exists.
The same spirit did not stop with the Jews. Charlie Kirk’s killing is the proof that the culture of hatred comes after Christians along with the Jews. The canary is dying. The gas in the mine will not stop with the Jews. Christians are next.
2. Thesis in one line
Hatred of the Jews is not a racial, economic, or policy problem. It is a worldview war. “The Jews are hated not because of who they are biologically, but because of what they introduced to the world: a God who is one, who is personal, who is moral.” “The hatred of the Jews is, at its deepest root, the hatred of God.”
This is not primarily a book about antisemitism. It is a book about the ideas that antisemitism attacks.
You cannot hate the root and love the fruit. (Darrow: perhaps the most important sentence in the book.)
3. The 1933 warning
Germany was a 95 percent Christian nation. The Sacred-Secular Divide — a Greek dualism, not a biblical one — taught the church that public hatred of Jews was someone else’s problem. It was “the most catastrophic application of the Sacred-Secular Divide in the history of Christianity.” The majority stayed silent. A remnant did not.
After October 7: “the same silence, produced by the same formation, in a different century.”
4. Three failures still in your church
- Replacement theology — as if the church replaced the people of the covenant. Romans 9–11 says otherwise. The gifts and the calling are irrevocable.
- The Sacred-Secular Divide — stay nice, stay out, call neutrality faithfulness. That is how 1933 happened in a Christian country. That is how 2023 happened in your pews.
- Lost Hebrew roots / lost Old Testament — we kept the fruit (our Bible, our moral universe, our Messiah) and forgot the root.
5. What to do this month — Presence / Voice / Action
Only the church can name this as an assault on the God of Abraham. Solidarity is not a blank check for every Israeli policy.
- Presence: When Jewish communities in your city are targeted, the church shows up.
- Voice: Preach Romans 9–11. Name October 7 as murder, not “resistance.” Say Kirk out loud: this hatred comes for Christians too.
- Action: Educate. Examine how your people were formed. Pray Psalm 122:6. Support the work that actually stands with the Jewish people.
Jewish friendships: “Not for the purpose of evangelism—that instrumentalizes the relationship and undermines trust—but for the purpose of genuine human connection.” Do not hunt converts. Become Righteous Gentiles in this generation.
6. Close
Understanding without action is simply a more educated form of complicity.
We know. And because we know, our silence—if we are silent—is not ignorance. It is choice.
